The End

We start our lives as a babe in arms,

Not knowing where to start,

Wondering what the future holds,

Or what life held before.

You then begin a one way trip,

No way of turning back,

Reality then reveals to you,

Life is a one way track.

It has its mountains, vales and dells,

With bridges there to cross,

It gives you time to see yourself,

And all that you have lost.

You abseil down the mountainside,

And scale the cliffs so high,

As you conquer mountains,

Manmade ones, of course.

You mellow with the ages,

A foe becomes your friend,

After life’s beginning,

You have strength to face the end.
