Mothers’ Day

In the past there have been mothers,

All loving and forgiving,

A reflection of our first Mum,

Eve, the mother of all living.

We now arrive with Mary,

We all know what God had done,

Borne of her our Saviour,

Jesus Christ the Son.

Then of course, it’s our turn,

Of course, we all had one,

She is that someone special,

Someone that we call Mum.

To some she is a memory,

After a job well done,

Has left behind a family,

Who grieve for their dear Mum.

That’s why we pay this tribute,

Through Christ these words we say,

God bless you Mum, we thank you,

Enjoy your Mother’s Day.
